The U.S. Department of Energy announced it will invest $500 million to boost the production and recycling of batteries.

My opinion is that they are doing for cleaning energy, cutting foreign dependence, and meeting ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) goals.

The major focus U.S. is on domestic production.

My research says that this funding will support battery supply chains and reduce environmental impact by big companies.

Maybe this funding will open better job opportunities.
