Microsoft has introduced a new cybersecurity tool called Project Ire, an artificial intelligence system created to fight hackers instantly. The technology aims to detect and stop some of the most dangerous cyberattacks before they cause damage.
What distinguishes Project Ire is its ability to detect advanced threats, such as rootkits and state-backed hacks, the kind of attacks that are typically difficult to catch. Microsoft says the AI can identify these threats with about 90% accuracy, a major step forward in digital defense.
For users, this means that Windows Defender will now be able to automatically block malware before it steals money, disrupts payments, or compromises personal data. Instead of reacting after damage is done, the system works proactively to stop attacks at the source.
Cybersecurity experts believe this launch is a big shift in the way companies and consumers protect themselves online. As hackers get smarter, tools like Project Ire show that AI is becoming a frontline weapon in the battle against cybercrime.
With this move, Microsoft is positioning itself as a leader in the next era of digital security.
